Activities
Abbeywood House has a dedicated activities co-ordinator who ensures that all residents of all abilities can be included in the programme of events. We also use a specialist activities company who visit the home.
Bingo & Games
We love to host game mornings and afternoons at Abbeywood House and our residents can play bingo, board and card games amongst other options regularly available thanks to our entertainment team.
Hairdresser & Beautician
We have our own salon and therapies room at Abbeywood House, where we have weekly visits from our hairdresser who is experienced in both Men and Women's hair, plus we offer manicures. chiropody and other sensory activities in our dedicated space.
Pet Therapy
Our external pet specialist regularly visits our residents with a variety of animals for everyone to hold and cuddle as much as they feel comfortable doing.
Exercise
We offer many forms of exercise classes including armchair aerobics, dance and frequent walks out in our gardens
Music & Film
We host live musicians who come to perform for our residents and we have regular playing sessions of the genres of music that our residents tell us they enjoy listening to.
We also regularly hold cinema afternoons showcasing the requests our residents have
Clergy
For our residents and their families who follow a particular faith, we have regular visits from faith leaders to provide services and support.
